Instructions on how to use the newspaper documents
Remember the page format is:
Custom size
Width: 11"
Height 17"
Portrait
Margins: 0.6" all around
header and footer 0.5"
You can print the newspaper if you have a large format printer, or
take it to Kinko’s or Office Depot, they will printed directly from your diskette.
You can use the main header boxes, and you may remove the lines and type your information there.
Download the newspapers from here. Microsoft Word format (Office 2007)
Right click on each link and save it to your hard drive.
This is a note about the "Periodicos" files
All the files are formatted for a 11X17 page. if you want to use the files to type your information, you may need to do a some work. Open each file separately and you can copy the pictures or graphics to another temporary file. Erase all the lines on the page, and type your information directly on the page.
Periodico1
Has a main header and after the page is formatted for two columns. The index is a text box you may copy this to another page and copy it back when you finish writing your information.
Periodico2
The entire page is formatted for two columns. Copy the "Opiniones" header, "cartas al editor", and the three "El Tiempo" graphics to another file, erase all the lines on the Periodico file and type your information. You may insert the graphics you saved on the other file back on the "Periodico2" file.
Periodico3
After the sports header, the page is formatted for three columns. Copy the "Marcador" and the Sports graphics to another file, erase all the lines on the Periodico file and type your information. You may insert the graphics you saved on the other file back on the "Periodico3" file.
Periodico4
Has one main header and after the page is formatted for 3 columns. Tiras comicas are 4 table squares, you may insert your graphic from your graphic program Los Clasificados are three text boxes, you may write on them without changing the format. The crucigrama is another text box, just insert your picture.
